The Russian Martial Art Academy of Lee County, Florida was established in 2002 as a center for individuals in Southwest Florida seeking to learn the art of Systema. The academy was founded by Russian Martial Art instructor Peter Annazone, who has trained extensively with and is certified as an instructor by Vladimir Vasiliev in Toronto and Mikhail Ryabko in Moscow. Mr. Annazone has also trained at length with David Merrell and Rick Merrell of West Palm Beach, as well as many other instructors of Systema. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise home to his students in Lee County, Florida who train with Peter each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Students who begin Peter's classes find that his lessons are physically challenging and fun at the same time. His instructional style emphasizes physical conditioning with the basic principles of Systema, while allowing each student to grow in knowledge and ability in his own way. Each class offers opportunity for newcomers to learn right away, while more experienced students expand their knowledge during the same sessions.

To add to the learning experience, Peter encourages his students to attend a wide variety of seminars and special events throughout the country and the world. Students from the Russian Martial Art Academy of Lee County have recently traveled to destinations such as Moscow, Prague, Toronto, and New York City to name a few to train with Vladimir, Mikhail and other leaders in Systema instruction. Our students train with fellow Russian Martial Art enthusiasts from all over the world, often making lasting friendships along the way.
